Welcome to the online home of Manchester High School in New Franklin, Ohio! Manchester has many proud traditions and a long history of high achievement in academics, the arts and athletics. Our students benefit from a dedicated staff, a small community that supports the district, and a strong network of outside entities that bring global opportunities and technologies into our classrooms.
MHS offers a rigorous college prep curriculum, numerous electives, and a supportive environment that encourages students to create meaningful connections. Over 80% of our students are involved in athletics, a club or other extra-curricular activity.
Students can choose from five AP courses, a wide variety of College Credit classes, Credit Flex and ACT Prep opportunities, pursue a Bilingual Seal of Literacy, earn an Honors Diploma, or take advantage of other offerings that greatly enhance their college readiness or employment prospects. A Career-Based work program is also available for Juniors and Seniors, and we are proud to be designated as a “Purple Star” school for our “commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military”. We also have an outstanding relationship with our vocational resources at the Portage Lakes Career Center, where students can get hands-on experiences in a wide variety of career-technical programs to get a jump start in their chosen industry.
We are also excited that 2024-25 will be our first in the new high school! The support of the community is greatly appreciated as we open our new building and stadium for all fall athletics. These facilities will be an asset and source of pride to Manchester for many years to come.
